Why you're struggling to choose a teaching platform, and why you shouldn't

I deal with a lot of people who have online courses. One of the biggest dramas I see is them trying to decide what software they should use to deliver their course.

There’s about 5 or 6 common ones and, to be honest, they’re all very similar.

This creates two problems:

1) The options are so similar that people get paralyzed by the choice waste a mass of energy they could be put into creating great content.

2) If and when they do make a decision, they’re constantly looking over their shoulder, wondering if Product X has the “one feature” that would make or break their business.

I have clients selling over $1m per year on all the big platforms you’ve probably heard of, so I can tell you that none of them are holding you back.

This is a lesson in itself that you should take on board for your own business.

These owners of these course platforms have all sweated blood to create a “better” product, and yet, when you get down to it they all do roughly the same things.

If I was going to create a  platform in this market I wouldn’t try to make it better, I’d make it radically different.

In fact I’m sort of doing that, because the really sad thing about all this is that to get started, you don’t need a teaching platform at all.

How’s that for different?

You already have the perfect teaching platform, and my guess is that you’re not using it.

It’s impossible for your customers to ignore, it’ll create exactly the kind of engagement that you want, and it’ll make selling your subsequent products a thousand times easier. (Your mileage may vary on that number 😉 )
