I have a little sideline site that deals in productivity and “life hacks”.

If you’ve been paying attention to my emails you might have seen a link to it a while back.

If not, never mind, I’ll fill you in on the essentials in this email.

It’s a detailed one, so settle in…

I’ve been studying productivity for a few years. Ever since I started to drag myself out of a long episode of depression (I won’t spoil the mood with right now, but it has a happy ending).

There’s an absolute mountain of books, planning systems, apps and even pills to hep you out in this market.

I know for a fact that most of them are useless, regardless how many they sell.

Because they miss a step.

Here’s a secret that I’m going to give away for free, because NOBODY buys it, even though it’s worth a fortune to you.

The secret to massive increases in productivity, comes from setting the right goals.

The goals need to be in alignment with your passions, your skills, the markets need, and also be able to make money.

I did a video about it here, a while ago.

Miss one of these and you’ll struggle with motivation, or the practicalities of making a living will eventually wear you down.

I know this, because once I fixed this, it fixed multiple areas of my business, and my life beyond my business.

I made more money, I gained a better reputation in the market, I gained confidence, started training again, lost weight, the list goes on and on.

But when I tried to create a system that started with goal setting, nobody wanted it.

I’d spend weeks creating a course that condensed all the painful experience I had and the solutions I’d found, and when I launched, I got silence.

It was personally painful.

I thought I’d seen a market where people were desperate for a solution, and I had one, but they were deaf to it.

The market wanted journals, nootropics, apps and other quick fix toys.

Only the people who were absolutely at the end of their tether were interested in fixing the underling problems.

The rest of the market is far too comfortable to do anything about it.

So what could I do?

Well, rather than waste more time building products that noone wanted, I decided to partner up with some other businesses.

I found people supplying the sort of product my customers wanted, and started to offer them to the list I’d built.

I took care to note who was buying what, and asked them what could be made better about these products.

That way I had the research AND I knew what types of people were actually buying.

I made sales and had an idea about who I should be targeting.

But what about recruiting new people to the list?

How was I going to make sure that I didn’t just build another list of comfortable tyre-kickers?

How could I build this into a consistent business, not just a bunch of one-off sales every now and the?

That’s what I’ll be talking about tomorrow, and in a new course I’m releasing.

As you’re already on my list I’ll give away a little more than usual, and there’s something special in tomorrow’s email for you.
